Burn the Constitution - Today

The ancient Greeks call it kairos - the right, critical, or opportune moment to act.

If you are sick of centralized Washington, DC control for whatever reason, now is your moment. The current mania for nullifying and erasing history makes detaching yourself feasible.

Here is s how it works.  The logic is unimpeachable:

1.      Any federal law or statute passed before the 1965 Voting Rights Act could not have adequately weighed in the interests of excluded minorities of Color

2.      Any federal laws passed prior to the enactment of 19th Amendment in June 1919, clearly did not account for the interests of half the population

Thus, any federal laws passed before 1919 must null, void and invalid. This  includes the Granddaddy of Them All – the United States Constitution, the supreme law of the land that, theoretically makes us “one nation”.

As if the two arguments above are compelling enough, a survey of the Constitution’s framers affirms that the interests Jews, Latinos, Moslems, Native Americans, Asians, Pacific Islanders, Hindus, Buddhists and LBGTQ community were underrepresented if not completely ignored.

In fact, the founding law of the United States of America was entirely the work of wealthy, white, mostly Anglo-Saxon guys, many of whom held slaves. 

If what the Declaration of Independence says is true, that governments derive their “just powers from the consent of the governed”, it is clear that consent to the Constitution was not attained.

Therefore, the federal Constitution to be held to be null and void.   Let it be  be cast upon the modern day Bonfire of Vanities along the many statues, monuments and other relics of injustice.

From this moment, all former states of the union, cities, towns, communities, and private individuals should consider themselves free to configure and join any associations of governance that they best feel is suited to their needs.  Or not, if you so choose.

Lest you think I’ve gone totally bonkers, a large and respectable body of opinion lobbied against the adoption of the Constitution when it was submitted to ratification by the States.   Their arguments live in the historical record as the Anti-Federalist Papers.  In sum the papers consist of eighty-one compelling arguments.  Here are few samples.

·        Article #1 calls the Constitution A Dangerous Plan of Benefit Only to The "Aristocratick Combination." (their spelling)

·        Article # 7: Adoption of The Constitution Will Lead to Civil War.

·        Article #9: A Consolidated Government Is a Tyranny.

·        Article 35: Federal Taxing Power Must Be Restrained.

·        Article 39: Appearance and Reality-- the Form Is Federal; the Effect Is National

This was prophetic.  We know that we are an oligarchy controlled by special interests and the Fed.  The “federal” government became a national government.  This was codified in the 14^th Amendment.

America one civil war and is on the brink of at least one more.

 I hate no one.  It is time to acknowledge that the center can no longer hold and dissolve the ties that bind.  Let’s agree to disagree, shake hands move peacefully forward to smaller communities governed by the principles that best suit their constituents.

I once styled myself as a Constitutional libertarian.  I wanted to believe but the document has failed.   We are not only not a federation, but a global empire ruled from an imperial city.  The time for change is now.  Irresistible forces demand it.

Here Come The Secret Police

Curbing police power has long been on the libertarian bucket-list.

An-caps go further.  To us, bad policing is not the problem.  

Bad policing is an outcome of the corrupt statist enterprise that ruins all that it touches – families, education, businesses, lives.  It kills people at home and abroad.  It kidnaps, incarcerates, invades privacy, destroys currencies, economies and morals.

None of this could be accomplished without its enforcement arm.  This includes our boys in blue, our boys in camo, our boys in windbreakers, our boys in riot gear and our boys in suits including the FBI, IRS, DEA, DHS and the whole rancid alphabet soup.

The uprising on the Left is calling for the defunding, even abolition of the cops.  You might think we’d be down with that.  But, there is a but.  There is always, a but.

In addition to eliminating the cops, the righteous ones of Seattle demand add-ons.  Free healthcare, free education, affordable housing, universal childcare and free public transit. 

Nice.

Who will pay for this.?  No one, unless they are forced to. 

And that is why the State needs police – to force people to do what they would never do if they had a choice.

So if these new world idealists have their way, and eliminate Seattle’s Finest, who will be the strong arm of the “law”?

The Secret Police, of course.  Every collectivist regime has its secret police to ensure that unruly folks become docile sheep.  Otherwise, they vanish in the middle of the night. Welcome to Club Gulag.

No, police will not vanish.  They will disguise themselves as friends and neighbors, so you don’t see them coming.  They will enforce the unwritten rules du jour.

Pete Townsend prayed that We Won’t Be Food Again - right at the Secret Policeman’s Ball, no less.  I guess his prayer went unanswered.

I was just absorbing the news that HBO dropped Gone With The Wind, an American cinematic and literary classic when this urgent dispatch arrived.

Effective immediately all states, cities, towns, streets and public squares that are named
after slave-holding founding fathers will be renamed.

To make this change as efficient and painless as possible, these changes will be implemented on a wholesale basis.  Thus, you may use the FIND and REPLACE functions on your computer to quickly make following deletions and substitutions:

1.       Places previously referred to as Washington, will now be named Obama.  (Please note that the monument formerly known as Washington, will soon be painted.)

2.       Places formerly referred to as Jefferson, will henceforth be called Jay-Z

3.       Places formerly named Madison, are now Oprah

4.       Places formerly called Monroe, will be LeBron

In addition to the above, it has come to our attention that President Lincoln wasn’t all that after all.  It turns out that he prosecuted the War Between The States for the benefit of rich white folks – Northern Industrialists and Financiers.  Freeing slaves was an unintended consequence.

Henceforth all places formally named for Lincoln shall be called Cosby.

Going Galt Galactic Style

Or escaping this ball of confusion

Call it synchronicity – meaningful coincidence.  The Space X manned launch coincided with the outbreak of the George Floyd justice uprisings.

It is clearly time to cash in and get out.

Folks on the Left as well those in the liberty movement are seeing the same thing - that the bloated welfare/warfare state is failing.  In fact, it has failed America for a solid century.

Its police fail to protect us.  The Supreme Court explicitly affirms that that police have no obligation to do so.  So, what are they doing?  For starters, we know that they shoot a good number of innocent and unarmed people.  We also know that they cruise around in mini-arsenals, armed to the teeth with hand-me-down war toys designed to kill foreign enemies.   That just does not seem right for a “peace officer”.

We also know that cops confiscate private property without warrant or court order.  If you look fishy to the fuzz, they take your money, car, boat, whatever on the hunch that you may be a bad guy.

We know that our government does not protect us from terrorism, in fact they invite it via foreign meddling.  The War on Terror has only produced harassment while traveling and gross invasions of privacy.  Americans are clearly less secure.

Our elected and appointed officials have proven them themselves incapable of protecting us from disease.  Their cure was worse than the malady.  Politicians cynically exploited the COVID threat to score points and wound opponents.  All at our expense.

Nor has the State apparatus made us financially safe. .  Continued Fed money pumping and astronomical budget deficits create bubbles and market crashes.  The more dollars we create the less they are worth.  If foreign nations and investors sense that our money is depreciating, they will dump dollars leading to accelerated domestic inflation and financial catastrophe.

And just like every other monopoly supplier, government schools deliver shoddy goods and poor outcomes.  For the most part, only the wealthy can afford to opt out, which they frequently do.

Which brings to America’s first manned commercial space launch.  It will not be long before the best, brightest and wealthiest earthlings cast their lot into the great beyond – far from the grubby hands of governments.   

“Go west young man”, exhorted Horace Greely in another century.  Today’s watchword will be “Go up!”

The earthbound are going Galt in so many ways.    Gun sales are skyrocketing as Americans realize that it up the to protect themselves, hearth home and family.

People are fleeing big cities – the citadels of progressivism.  Those staying behind are holding their official’s feet to the fire. 

No image from this past week was funnier that than Minneapolis Mayor, Jacob Frey, being booed, chased home and forced to take the walk of shame.  Frey is another White Weenie prog who believes that he and his party are God’s Gift to POCs.  Wrong!  The chickens are coming home to roost.

An-caps and the Justice Movement demonstrators see many of the same problems.   An-caps have ideas and solutions.  I’m not sure that demonstrators do, other than demanding “justice”.

The one thing that they are seeing is that statism has failed.    

Maybe, just maybe, this is the time to listen to fresh ideas.  Maybe just, maybe, this is the moment for a New American Revolution.
